Museum of Flight

April 11
10 am

Museum of Flight
9404 E Marginal Way S
Seattle 98108

This is a combined event with the MG Car Club, NW Centre.  We will meet at 10:00am in the Museum lobby where we will divide into groups for tours (note- the tours are not mandatory but are highly recommended).  After the morning tour we will have lunch (buy your own) in the cafeteria.  Following lunch, additional tours will be conducted in a different part of the Museum.  The tours will covers such areas as the Great Gallery (Wright Brothers to the Blackbird), the Personal Courage Wing (WW I/II), the Space Gallery (shuttle trainer) and the Aviation Pavilion (lots of airplanes on static display).  The tours will be conducted by Museum Docents Ken Bottini, Hank Davis and Larry Kanaster (voted as the Museum’s top docents by Mrs. Bottini, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Kanaster).  Following the tours everyone is on their own to visit other displays such as the simulators (slight added charge), control tower or the Red Barn (original Boeing headquarters building).

Those of you that were on our visit a few years ago will find many changes in the Museum as the size has almost doubled with the opening of the Aviation Pavilion.  Also note that the   visit is planned to be prior to the opening of the new Destination Moon Exhibit (April 13th) to avoid the expected crowds.

This is a non-driving event and friends and family are welcome to attend.   Everyone pays their own admission. With the group rate (minimum of 10) the prices are Adult=$19, Youth (5-17)=$12 and Senior (65+)=$17.

The Museum request reservations are made for large groups.  If you are considering attending please RSVP to Larry Kanaster by email or call 253-566-2312.  This is for planning only and is not a commitment so if your plans change it is not a problem.

Please notify Larry anytime if you have questions.
